    The following chart shows the viscosity when various solvents are used to cut THYON OX787 into solution.下面的圖表顯示THYON OX787各種溶劑的溶液切割粘度

    Performance properties性能特點

     

    1. Characteristics固化/幹特性: The following chart shows the typical drying time/cure rate of white topcoat formulations based on THYON OX787. Evaluations of Gardner Circular Dry Times are very interesting. The dry times will normally lie somewhere within the area plotted on the chart below. Pot life was determined with a recording Brookfield viscometer and is defined as the time required to double the initial viscosity of approximately 250 centipoise. The pot life will normally be between 4 and 8 hours when measured by this method.

    » Crosslinker交聯劑: For maximum gloss retention properties, aliphatic isocyanates are recommended. Also the Trimer or Biuret versions of hexamethylene diisocyanate can be used.

    A ratio of 1.05: 1 of isocyanate to hydroxyl is normally recommended in the industry.

    » Solvent: 溶劑 Ketone solvents will give the best viscosity –VOC due to a combination of good solvency and low density. Aromatics such as xylene and toluene provide good solvency and can be readily used in combination with the more polar solvents. Glycol ether acetates can be used but normally do not provide low viscosity/VOC. PM-Acetate should be avoided due to its film retention characteristics. Avoid alcohols and glycol ethers; their hydroxyl functionality can react with the isocyanates.
